I'm just wondering what power fc i'll need to run my car. It's a 1997 my98 wrx with an EJ20G.

All the version 3/4 power fc's i have seen say they run the EJ20K. My ecu has a 3 plug harness and all the version 3/4 ecu's i have seen have 4 plugs. I found one ecu (sold now) that was for a version 3/4 to run the EJ20G but it had a 4 plug harness not 3, the part number on that was 414-AF001. I then found another version 3/4 ecu that had a 3 plug harness but didn't say which engine it runs, i was assuming it was the EJ20G.

Will i need a specific model of the power fc D-E to run the EJ20G? And would it be the 414-AF001 or the 414-AF005? Also are there two types of power fc's for the version 3/4 wrx, one to power the EJ20G and one for the EJ20K?

My car was built in September of 1997 if that helps.
