The Forester ran flawlessly again at RAC this week. I learned plenty about the car and my driving ability again ! I started the day running 40 psi cold in tyres front and rear in the AD08 and found I was sliding sideways plenty dispite having shit loads of power to the road. Jurgen suggested dropping pressure by 4 psi and boy did that work well. Anyway another great day was had but on the way home I started seeing some smoke coming from under the bonnet and scope...doooohh shit. I pull over on Roe Hwy pop the bonnet and confirm source of smoke as coming from under the turbo...cracked oil line me thinks...no flames though and I manage to get the car home without any issues, just drove off boost. Yesterday drove the car to Stechnic and Damo had a look. Confirmed it has cracked the oil feed line under the inlet manifold. They have to remove manifold to repair it so its off the road for a few days until they can get to it.
