Ticking sound from rear of car
I have a 2002 WRX and accidently washed out the wheel bearing grease with WD40, one bearing (rear left) developed a whine during a 1600km round trip and shortly after a ticking developed that appears to be coming from the rear right.
Yesterday I had all 4 wheel bearings replaced and after about 20 minutes the ticking sound seems to have returned, it gets faster/slower according to the speed of the car. When I first heard it I thought there was a tech screw in the tyre as it sounded like it's making that ticking sound every rotation.
Its driving me nuts and is the main reason why I spent about 1k to replace the bearings, any idea what this sound could be?
