The outlets are usually just clipped into place in the ceiling. Remove the outlet and cut the new hole the same size as the old one where you need it to be and clip it back in. You can buy the little hand saws from Bummings for about $10 I think.

Just make sure when you lay the ducting tube out in the ceiling there are no kinks in it that will restrict air flow.

If you have reverse cycle aircon the new outlet usually goes towards the back half of the room away from the doorway.

If you have evaporative you usually place the outlets closer to the doorway away from the windows.
