I know this has probably been asked a million times; I have a stock 5speed with original r180 rear GC8 sti v6 aus delivered.

Planning the conversion to 6 speed and I understand the following:

Transmission and front shafts: if I get an 01/02 with males on the transmission then no need to do anything for front shafts. If post 02 with female trans then I’ll need to get stubs to suit.

Tailshaft: need suitable 6 speed shaft (small or large flange to the diff and trans as required)

Rear diff and shafts: I’ll need the match diff to suit the FD and transfer ratio output of the trans (3.9 or 3.54 if using the 1.1 transfer ratio) which is fine.

Question: if I get an r180 diff then will my current shafts fit? Anything I need to consider here?
