I'm about to buy an pfc online. However the description specifically say its for gc8 version 5-6 ej207 engine, whereas my my99 gc8 wrx has a ej205, do you guys think it'll still work without any modifications?
cheers. Ken |

it will work. but you will more than likely have to swap two pins on the ECU plugs.
You need to swap the Cam and crank angle sensor as they are swapped on STIs of which the PFC is specifically plug and play for.

Mister Two is correct, I've got the wiring diagram for it somewhere... oh and yeh, other than that, it will work fine, had a pfc in my 99 for a year or so now, works great, recently upgraded to a z33 afm as well

with a z33 afm, do you have to change the intake pipe, filter, air box, adapters etc to suit?

Z33? really?
The z32 AFM (300zx VG30DET) is very straight forward to fit. You do, however, need to buy an adaptor, which is simply a replacement for the section of intake that the standard AFM is mounted in. If you have some way of displaying AFM reading (eg. PFC controller), you will notice that the Z32 reading are completely out of whack... Tune = fixed. My PFC says "EJ207" on the screen when i boot it up, from memory, it was simply a matter of changing 2 pins to control my MY99 EJ205. Last edited by mattmy99; 07-03-2008 at 05:09 PM. |
