Autoglym AUS - How to prevent dash cracking
Your vinyl dash is constantly exposed to the damaging rays of the sun and there’s very little way around this, bar leaving your car in the garage and never driving it. Unfortunately, this exposure to sunlight damages the vinyl dash over time, causing the surface to fade, dry and even crack. Autoglym Vinyl & Rubber Care is an easy-to-use spray-on product that has been specifically formulated to restore colour to faded vinyl surface as well as provide a clear protective coating to help negate the effects of age and the sun. Before applying Vinyl & Rubber Care, it might be a good idea to give your dash a good clean with Autoglym Interior Shampoo. Give the bottle a good shake and apply Vinyl & Rubber Care directly to your dash. Apply the product sparingly and immediately remove any excess product with a microfibre cloth to retain a more matte finish. As added measures of protection, you could also invest in a dash mat as well as use a sun shade whenever you have the vehicle parked out in the sun. This is especially useful with the summer months starting to get hotter and hotter here in Australia.
