New SM4 knock board released. WRX & Evo PnP.

Knock board now awailable for Subaru 01-05 and EVO 9, they are all Sm4 based, meaning they can with small modification fit SM4 ecus on these models.

They are very advanced knock boards with adaptive learning, meaning you can take one EVO9/WRX PnP box and fit it to another car without doing any tuning on knock board.

I had this fitted to my car last week, along with a SM4, car has been tuned, it makes a big difference apparently.

Will post up more info when to hand, have not picked up car yet.

Pm Jmax he's been rolling around with it in his for a while now, should offer you some decent feedback.

Bump, just wondering how much these are going for lately and wanted a little
feedback as it's been awhile since the thread has been replied to.

After talking to Gav this morning and Jeff this arvo it definitely sounds like the only way to go.

Talk to Lnae up at Race Torque because apparently there are still a few minor problems with them.

Also my understanding is that the main advantage is that you can tune that little bit closer to the limit. Is that something you really want in a daily that will be run on unconsistent BP ultimate. What happens if you are down south and get an old batch that has gone off a bit?

No worries Brendon will go talk to Lane, the 204 wont be seeing any country driving only metro as iv'e already experienced a nice batch of fuel from down south with my 07. :(

I have been advised by at least 5 people with them just to get one as it cant hurt and is also good for letting you know if somethings up, also the car wont be tuned to the limits it will be very much a safe tune as i want to keep it simple and reliable.

Some say it's a bit overkill for what im doing, however id prefer the SM4 over other options for my mods.

Might not be my daily soon enough as im looking for a older subi for a daily :D

Factory uses multiple knock sensors, is it really a step forward?

JDM_STYLE 05-07-2009 05:35 PM

Can only try and see and if i'm not happy with it i can
always go back :D

I won't know until i try.
