Well I bought the following last week:
2009 STI LONG RATIO SIX SPEED DCCD Box
Shifter/Gearboot and Knob
Modified Tail shaft and Matching Rear Diff
Plus Starter Motor and Clutch Fork
It does not come with a controller for the DCCD so I have purchased the DCCDPro controller on the advice of Doug at STechnic. He showed me this system in one of his clients cars last year. Does a much better job than the stock controller he tells me...should be fun times. http://dccdpro.com/zcart/index.php?main ... ducts_id=2
I have a number of mods planned to go on at the same time as the box upgrade...these include new BBK-M, PW CAI, Perrin Intake Pipe, new BOV plumbed back, some Cusco bracing for the steering rack and rear.
Once all of this is done then clearly it will be time to get the car on the dyno and re-tune.Posted 30-01-2012 at 08:42 AM by American Dave -

auction won now I just have to be patient for them to arrive by sea freight boo...MY10 WRX STI A-line front seats with airbags and custom rails to suit a SH...should be a lot more comfortable and somewhat better at holding me in.

Update on the Foz
The MY11 WRX STI 5AT slushbox has arrived from Rising Sun Subaru and is sitting at STechnics now waiting to go in. It will need a short drive shaft which will get sourced. Its a longer box but I believe it will clear with my x-force dump. Its the same gearbox that Subaru Australia have used on the Forester S Edition. Install set for 2nd week of November

Thanks Master D
While I am at I thought I would introduce the new German in the family. We sold the VW Golf GT recently to another long term member of p-diddy. We were sad to see it go.
We bought an MY11 BMW X1 2.0 ltr turbo diesel 4WD and I had the lower bumpers, skirting, etc colour coded by Neil @ Unique Auto Refinishers. The results came out very well and we are learning and enjoying the new ride.

Good to see the car is running well. i used to drive a 2006 liberty 3.0R 6sp manual, while not the same performance as yours i found it to be a great drive. Roughly the same km's as yours, never any issues. Have always been a fan of the liberty's.Posted 25-02-2010 at 05:17 PM by smerm07 -

The car performed perfectly on the weekend cruise. Its current state is damn near as close to its best since I have owned it. My co-driver Matt drove the leg after SOR meetpoint and just had a big grin on his face the whole time. His comments were gee it takes alot less turning of the wheel, its very direct and grips really well with a bit of rear end step out that is quickly controlled if need be. The brakes are just just awesome. This coming from the V8 guy too. No stone chips notes and while dusty the finish is smooth as underneath..BIG PROPS to Andrew. Black paint and Subaru are never good to start with but his work means cleaning up after the cruise for 350 kms is piss easy. Would have liked to have logged the performance and map this weekend but didn't have the logger so another similar drive soon is required I think.Posted 25-02-2010 at 01:49 PM by American Dave
