stupid question - can you put a P25 rear housing from a VF36/37 on the VF34 to make it twin scroll?

yes, you can put a p25 off a vf36 on a vf34 to make it twinscroll.

the p25 off a vf37 is slightly different though... however it can be used to convert vf35 or vf30 to twinscroll.

How does the compressor housing differ from vf34 to vf37?

its not the compressor housing. Its the center cartridge.

Vf34/36 is ball bearing

Vf30/35/37 is plain bearing

Yeah i know that but by putting the p25 housing from say the vf36/7 onto a vf34 what benefit is it? How is the vf34 compressor any better?

Oh, I thought you had just a spare p25 housing lying around.

There is no advantage in moving a p25 housing over to a vf34. The vf36 supposedly has a titanium compressor wheel so if you did the move, it would be a downgrade.
