Earlier this year I sold my GC8 at the asking price. However I had this priced what I think it was worth (13k's) compared to most others on car sales (14-16ks). Sold to first buyer, didn't drop as I had other buyers ready to loook at it.
Got new s/hand car a week ago 2k less than asking, however pretty much spot on what the current market price would be (in my opinion) so not a real low ball offer.

i had the worst experience selling a mate's honda civic..

had so many lowball offers..

one guy came along claiming to represent a ricer garage.. basically this guy thrashed the car, scraped everything going over the smallest hump sideways (car is lowered, coilovers, 15" wheels so it scrubs a bit on full lock).. it wasn't necessary to drive like a crab.. then proceeded to push down on all corners of the car and say to me "10 kilo?" at this point i'm refraining to say "10 kilo your ass??"

at the end of it i realised his story changed 3 times.. first it was for his gf, then for his boss, then for his boss' gf.. then he said he wanted to fit a H23 to it.. last thing he said was 'take it to my garage if it's not sold..' .. not because he wanted to buy the car, but because he wanted to look under it... what a waste of time..

we had a 17k offer on a WRX adversited at 27k ... had my 350z for sale for 52K, dealer called me up and said they wanted it for their floor as it was almost new... i said no chance cause im asking 52 and he said he knows but they still want it and will get very close to it... offered me 35k mwahaha.. sold a week later for 50k
