I really don't get the amount of Gillard hate in here.

I'm no fan of her either but really a Pollie is a Pollie, no escaping that. I can't see Abbot doing any better to be honest.
Someone mentioned socialism in this thread. The reality in this country is that we haven't had a socialist govt since Whitlam was booted out.
We have two choices, right or far right.
I can understand disagreeing with policies or how money is spent, but the personal hatred is just.....bizarre.

I can't say I like Gillard at all, I find her quite annoying to be honest, and the alternative is a hate filled, angry incompetent and this what I don't get.
People spewing out invective at Gillard while totally ignoring the fact that the alternative will be the same or worse.
You don't like money being wasted/spent unwisely? Fair enough. Changing govt will only change where the money is being wasted.

If you've ever made a positive contribution to society then yes I can see you might be deluded thinking that the government is not a socialist one as if you ever put anything in you get sweet F all back but if you have spent your entire life being a leach as so many do then I can think of few socialist governments that provide an easier ride.

If it is not a socialist government that allows so many in the latter group to exist I don't know what is.

I give my fair share of contribution everytime I get paid. For that I think I'm entitled to an opinion on what gets done with my contribution. Ms Gillard is endorsing quite a few failings of late. If this is her or her parties well intended management of the country then criticism is fair game in my book.
