don't have an issue with cyclists other than if they want to be treated as an equal road user they need to act like one. the amount of red light running I see in the city is astounding

Don't forget a lot of them ride on the foot paths and don't approach corners with any consideration or caution.
8 years of working in the city and I've only ever seen one person stop once for a red light...

Not really a complaint. But a funny Hyundai Tiburon was tail gating me trying to look cool "Oh boy I can keep up to a WRX sticking to the speed limit!".

Cyclist lanes. They are in a lot of big cities in the USA. The cyclist lanes are part of the road yet separated by a big kerb. The cyclists still need to obey road laws and aren't allowed on footpaths. The cars actually look for cyclists before turning. It's a good system.
