third brake light

thinking of taking my spoiler off the car, just wondering where i can get a third brake light for the parcel shelf and how much roughly it would cost?

also am i right in saying that it is illegal to have only two brakelights?

thanks :icon_dwar

yep illegal, if spoiler comes off, need to replace into back window, pretty sure there has been a thread on this before, and where to purchase.

all wrx's have a plug and mounting for a 3rd light... im sure check out www.japanparts.com or try JWS they should have a wrecked one sitting around.. just plug and play... or just go to subi and pay a hundred odd dollars for one :)

Ive been driving around for like 3 months without a spoiler light. Havnt had any trouble as of yet. Yeah, its most likley illegal, so is going more then 2" on your rims sizes and the height of your car. It all comes down to if you are a smart arse when talking to the officer that pulled you over (and cruises like ignition cant really be forseen :P)

Just giving the insurance company of the tosser that runs up your ass an excuse to say it wasn't his fault cos he couldn't see the required eye level brake light.

Take a risk on weather you will be right if you screw up ( oversize wheels etc ) but don't give anyone else a reason to leave you screwed over.

I just fitted an LED light in the back window. Got from REPCO its a narva one that just sticks to the inside of your window... run the wires to the existing brake light wires and solder them on. Perfecto.

Happy to show ya.

Was $29 i think and its very factory looking. Very bright at night.
