Intake Heat shield
Here is a couple of pics of the heat shield I made up for my mates 98 wrx. I think I need to speak with Polar and get some phone pic photography lessons.

Looks good .. Getting a CAI would have saved you the hassle though, and works better i reckon.
Judging by the pic could you not find one which would be compatible with your FMIC? |

fabicate a fully closed box with an inlet just through the fender would be the go.

It would definately help with the engine heat in much the same way as the turbo heat shields. |
