Hey,

Im gonna add some STi front splitters to my Peanut MY03 WRX and want some opinions on what colour to paint them. They will be coming second hand in silver so ill have to paint them before putting em on my car as im tossing up between either blue or black.

Below are some VERY dodgy photo edits i did in paint. The rims arent the same as mine but they are the same colour as i edited them to (black with blue rim) and also the front lip isnt the same but i have a very similar one in black. Also, my car isnt that blue colour, its that rare dark blue/purpleish colour that was only in WRXs, so maybe take that into account as the actual car colour will be a little darker and may make the black 'blend' in more.

I would have to say I like the splitters the same colour as your car and have fun fitting them, it was a bit of a prick to fit, have to do some drilling Do you have black side skirts or are they the same colour as your car to?

my opinion... the only part to leave black is the front lip

Black stock skirts and gonna get hold of some rear pods too, the ones 'Lebrunt' is selling in the for sale section. They are gonna be black aswell. Ill have to respray the skirts and front lip a metallic black because the rear pods will be in silver so if i want them in black, they will be metallic. Dont wanna have metallic black rear pods and stock black (dry finish) skirts and front lip.

I'd go Black to be Different.

Colour coding does still look the best.

Yeah i was thinking black to be different too, but sometimes different doesnt always look the best. In most cases itll look 'tacky' because people arent used to it.
