Red Calipers
 

Thought i'd do some tinkering this weekend, so i painted my calipers

I only have stock calipers, so i wasnt too sure what the rears would look like. But im happy. Much cheaper than new ones! :D

just finished them, so gotta wait for the paint to cure properly before i bleed them (i took them right off) in case I get brake fluid on the paint, which means i cant drive it for a while :(

Nice, i did my front ones... gotta do them again cause i sucked at the lettering but didnt get to the back ones before the sun went down and havent had a chance since.

On that note, whats the best way to get rid of the rust on the hub?

wire brush would work, did alright job on mine

havent attempted the rust on the hub yet... figured it probably rust up again anyways. I have seen the hub painted before... but i think it might be a bit overkill. Still deliberating.

I could only find white heat res. paint in a spray pack, so i squirted it into a container, let it sit for a while for the thinner to evaporate. then laid on the ground with my model paint brushes and painted away very carefully ;)

What size paint brush did you use? '0' ?? I have painted mine in gloss black and want to paint the writing in yellow.

not sure what official size it was. it about 5mm wide

that looks pretty good.

i painted mine black a while ago and i also did the hubs. for the hubs i used degreaser and a wire brush. takes a little elbow grease but black hubs look so much better than brake dust and dirt covered hubs.

dont paint the hub. its gay.

just remembeer to use metal primer.
