prostreet

pro street kelmscott best I've ever used and I've used a lot
the guys there usually do hot rods and classics so you know
the quality of painting is top notch and they rub down all
coats old skool style : ) they fitted and painted my 06 wrx perfectly
no hassles at all

rexspec 11-12-2011 07:51 PM

heyy anyone know how much it will be just to get the sti splitters painted and fitted properly, got my mates panel beater to do it and probably the worst job that anyone can do? and also can someone reccommed me to a good reasonible price person?

Cheap resprays from calise campus as they are apprentices but other then that ive seen great work come out of there.

Big +1 for Meltham Motors. I had some work done recently, Owen went above and beyond on service and work paint work is first class.

teejay 18-03-2012 12:53 PM

See my shitbox in the corner?

Andy! 18-03-2012 06:03 PM

Nup, I only was in the wash area end briefly. I did see one of your doors. I assume its stored in a different section.

RobBah 30-04-2012 07:03 AM

Some sad news Im afraid.....
Over the weekend I had four panels scratched with what appears to be a screw driver (also punctured two tyres). Scratches are deep (and funny how no other car in the area was touched).
Can anyone reccommend someone central for my WRX?
Greatly appreciate it.

Anyone know someone in the paint/bodyshop industry that would want a cash job to spray my skirts, rear spats front grill and rims?
Cash waiting.

Can remove the skirts and spats prior to spraying if needs be but presume you will need the car as my wheels are on the car currently.

PM me for details and pricing.

Regards

Got foggys done at Unique Auto Refinishers in Kenwick, Guy down there is helpful with some good work and fair prices. Can't wait to get my Cwest lip hooked up this week.

I just picked up my car from Owen at Meltham motors. I would 100% recommend anyone with paint/body work to see him, he did an immaculate job on the car looks fantastic even did extra work just because. Very very happy with it

PoktRokt 07-10-2012 12:28 AM

My car goes in on Monday morning to Meltham's for rear bumper re-spray!! Owen is a top bloke and I have heard nothing but great words about his work!!
Il do before and after pics!!

teejay 07-10-2012 01:42 AM

I would also suggest to those wanting some biggish private jobs done talk to him soon.

I know its his intention to slow down after his wedding in early 2013.

From my experience you tend to get more time after you get married, things tend to dry up, if you know what i mean :D

KevDogg 07-01-2013 10:38 PM

Hey guys,

I've got myself a 2000 plate Blue WRX with a bit of flaking on the rear panel. Does anyone know if I can sort this by simply going to a shop like Repco and buying acrylic coat?
Just a little lost on what's the best remade.

Cheers

GX-REX 07-01-2013 11:08 PM

The paint flaking on your car will be clear coat dieback. Happens to a lot of oem COB finishes of this era.
It all depends on how you want your car to look, what budget you are on and the severity of the dieback. I personally would never use a spray can on a car unless it was nearly ready for the scrap heap, but that's me personally.
If you want a cheap job done by a tradesman send me a pm. I'll look at taking on a small job here and there but no full resprays.

Could you be convinced otherwise?

Owen,
Have you had much experience in, or would you be interested in doing an acrylic respray?
I want a "period" (1961) finish to look as factory as possible.

Cheers,
Matt

Bit difficult doing a full respray in my spare time as well as working full time. Most people would want their car back in a short space of time.

teejay 08-01-2013 11:38 AM

Owen just got married so is probably busy for a bit.

mattmy99 08-01-2013 11:51 AM

Gosh darn it!

Thanks TJ

Brendo 21-01-2013 09:12 AM

Hi Guys

The paint on my 99 WRX is peeling a bit. Im going to sell it soon enough.
Should i get it resprayed and try and sell it for $9500 or leave it and sell it for $7500.
Its got 180K on the clock and in really good condition apart from the paint.

mARC 21-01-2013 09:17 AM

^

What's the 'actual', cost of repairs?

Factor it back to what you will 'actually', get.

Spending money on something you're selling without any real gains doesn't make sense to me at all.

BBK 22-01-2013 11:50 AM
