Paint job and body kit
 

hi there everyone i have a quote on a full custom body kit new tail lights different headlights (the $1300 ones) sti spoiler and all resprayed in a candy apple colour inside the doors everything outside and in the engine bay so pretty much everything. i was wondering if $15,000 is to much to pay for it all. i got the quote from fibrevision in welshpool. can someone tell me if its to much?? and if so where are some good places to start looking. oh its for a bugeye btw.

definately too much if your thinking of parking it in gosnells :P

Nah thats pretty good but i wouldnt go to fibrevision especially for candy,Give Lenno a call at shogun motorsports on 0433187723.There a one stop custom shop,They can do everything all in one shop,Plus there painter is an actual recomended house of kolor shop unlike any one in perth.

We can always spray out some ideas and see what you think.Just pm and i can come talk to you today or whenever and ill give you an idea of how much it will cost you.But doin your car all in one shop definatly cuts your cost by a bit and some people do there interiors while they've got the car in the shop

I too live in the nice side of gosnells/southern river and know that gosnells is not as bad as what people describe it as.

As for candy apple colours and paint jobs. Message [REXZIST] he has his painted in candy apple and its awesome as. I have seen this car in person and it is the sex...

Genuine STi lights can go for that much.

Your money your choice, i think its too much to spend just on body and paint.

I can think of better investments than spending more than the car is worth on paint :)

I have a hole you can throw money in if you like and for the same price you wont have the constant reminder that you wasted 15k!

Just don't waste it on shiny parts and gold plating ;)

I'd put it into top notch suspension, brakes and the rest I'd waste on stuff you can't see like cams and porting and polishing :D

wow... 15g is alot to pay for a custom bodykit man... to be honest... dont go to fibrevision... they are shit... i'm speaking from past experience on my other car... all they use is bog bog and more bog...

Finally you start to make sense!! with that money you can have a very reliable 12 second car with the handling and brakes to match.

15 K is a shite load to look pretty, when a few subtle touches can make it just as hot without drawing the wrong kind of attention.

In the end it is your money and your car so do it if you can afford it. and by afford it - i mean, you have the cash, not a loan!

Do the engine, you wont regret it, I spent some $$ on my RX7, getting body kit and paint job. In the end it turned out shit. The money I spent I would have had a weapon stock looking car. Which I regret now.

From now on, its go before show. Once its got all the go it can have I will make it look better, but nothing over the top. Then again at the end of the day your car your money, do what you would like to do.

or if you have the cash up front, do the whole lot in one go :)

$15k is crazy money.

Use that money to (a) buy a better car (b) mod a wrx for performance as they are an ugly looking car.

If you are just wanting a showcar, buy a cheap GX, slap a body kit on it and paint away.

Have you tried Vulcan Panel and Paint? they do some top work. Located on Vulcan Road in Canning vale.

i dont reckon Vulcan would be any cheaper, plus don't think they'd supply and fit a body kit.

he did say for $15,000 he's getting a full kit supplied/fitted and a complete paint job, inside and out. that'd be about normal for that kind of job.

but... as other have suggested sink it into the engine & suspension
