Any sound Guru's NOR near Joondalup? Need help! - Perth-WRX.com

Haven't put my deck on in my WRX for about 16 months as I have just started driving it again. Need someone to help find a problem as to why it turns on but nothing plays etc.

Can anyone help please? Will pay for the job to be done obviously.

What deck is it? What has been done inside the car since it last worked?

It's a Clarion. A mate said it was a decent deck so I dunno, was in the car when I bought it. Nothing has been done, the car went to the workshop and hasn't been driven/turned over for ages. I turn the key over and the deck comes on (some lights) but no writing or anything. I dunno?

I had a top line clarion in mine. I bought it brand new and it worked well for 12 months. Then one day it done that same problem that you have.

Turned out to be the laser had shit itself.

Was very pissed off when i found out it went out of warrenty by a week!

Yeh, I got myself a pretty snappy Clarion and had a laser issue, but luckily was still in warranty. I know on mine sometimes when I take the face off and put it back on, the blue lights come on, but the display doesn't. I just take it off and give the terminals a quick wipe and put it back on, and it works again... Might be something simple like that.

PS. I didn't buy a Clarion deck, was in the GC8 when I bought it.
