hi guys looking to start tracking my car abit and im also in the market of getting some new rims but if i sell mine i no i will regret it so i figured i buy another set, what do you all think about tuned by sti rims on a gc8??

get the smallest, widest, lightest wheels you can fit over your brakes. tuned by sti rims would just be a WOFTAM for track rims

the rims i have a pretty light jester so im thinking mybe use them its easy enough to swap tyres arround

are they 17s or 18s? swappng tyres becomes pretty annoying after a while. Stock 02-04sti rims would be the cheapest way to get some track rims

there 18s jester i can pick the sti rims up for $1000 to my door

Stock 02-04sti rims as mentioned would be the best bet and if you find two sets let me know. :D

I reckon go the STi rims..

What are tuned by STi rims? Do they fit your stud pattern Kristian? ie 5x100? Will they clear Brembos?

tuned by sti rims are the rims on daves liberty they are 5x100 and fit wrx/sti from 01/04 as i have brembos they will fit buddy

I wouldn't be getting 18's for track rims personally...

Agree with this.
18" are too big for track rims IMO, 17" max

^^^^^ agreed - 18" r-comps don't come cheap, better off with 17's

...and nor is there a lot of choice in 18 R-Specs in the width you would be after...

Where can you get them for $1000 delivered!!! Mine cost almost $3k for the rims alone. I'd get myself a spare if they are that price.

I know of a brand new set of black STI enkeis sitting in their boxes. Owner is asking around the $1g mark for them. Unfortunatly they suit the 05+ STI PCD

thats a farking bargain and alliance wheel repairs will charge you about $110 per rim repair for these...I should know.

Looks like they've seen better days but as Dave said, still a bargain even if they all do need to be repaired.

Think of the extra coin forking out for R-compound @ 18"s. Ouch. Id just use the 17's.

stock rims for the win kristian. 17" are the way to go. more tyre! and get black ones. they'll go faster! hahah

i dont have tuned by sti rims i have 02-04 sti rims which are sold pending payment

I got my 17x7.5 Speedy K-Fine Lites brand new for $1000. Had to pick up in Osborne Park though :D
