rim colour
 

hi all, im painting the slightly damaged rims on my 06 sti shortly and want another opinion on what colour would look best.

i was thinking, stock gold, matt black or gloss black

I now have Gloss Black on my Pig STI.

I like the Blue/Black Combo.

White

Black of some description, I hate cleaning rims and will be painting mine soon also.

+3 for Black, seen quite a few Blue and White STi's with the std rims
painted Black and it looks HAWT!!!

Gloss black once covered with brake dust looks matt black/grey. Go matt black to start with and save yourself some cleaning :D

i'm all for charcoal/matte black rims, less headache having to keep them free of brake dust

apparrently these females tend to come with your car naturally if it were to look like this one.

Does any1 have a rough price of what it costs to paint or powder coat rims?
im trying to decide if painting my stock rims or just buying a new set would be the best cost effective way to go.... not that im tight haha

Perth Powercoaters about $350ish I think. Painted, Anywhere from $300 and up

Please mind my lack of knowledge but would that be $350 or all wheels or just 1 at that price?

im gonna go with matte black with gloss cherry blossom red pin stripe on outer lip

they tend to just pop the tyre off the rim

Yeah tyres off.. Be cheaper if u take just the rims to the painter, than them stuffing round getting it done

Interested to see your results - I'm thinking of painting my stock rims matte black. Black car on black rims should look sweet. Hides the damn braked dust too :D

I think Black looks good. only thing with black rims is they kind of fade into the back a bit, as in they dont stand out in detail..

Would anyone happen to have the paint code for the Black used on the STI wheels. I think it was called Black Onyix but I cant find any reference to it on the net anymore.

Bud, possible to get a less hazy front on pic of them, as It'd be great to get a better outlook on them 'possibly going this way myself in the future'.

Top the car off now with a front Lip.

I also have the Gloss Black, WR blue combo, just dont have a pink trim.

Doesn't look to bad though.
