Fixing vortex generator to car
Picked up a carbon fibre look vortex generator.
Looking to fix it on the car. Was thinking of using double sided tape but told its not strong enough. Any ideas on what to use? |
Sikaflex.

Hey bud, get the double sided 3m tape with the red ribbon 'around the edges', making sure to dab sikaflex in the middle of it 'the generator, not the tape', '1cm diameter', every 1-2inches.
You can also splice the tape to incorporate drain outlets so you wont get excess water build up across the top. Problem with excess sikaflex is it may force a roof respray if you decide to remove it later on 'therefore less, strategically placed = better'. |
You could also use no more nails it will never fall off :)

+2, Vortex Generators are for Evo's not WRX's! |
I'd agree with you in all cases that don't relate to 05's.
05 Generator looks shit hot, and can double as a clothes hanger when necessary. |
