sports pedals
 
are sports pedals illegal? some people say they are and some say they arent but i need to replace my clutch and brake rubber pedal pads on my gc8 and i cant find any anywhere but theres quite a few performance sets

I have a set of Sparco aluminium pedals with rubber inserts (making them legal).

I would really like to know the law regarding this, I was in a car that had a set of Sparco's very similar to these and the officer let my mate off with a warning.

so they are legal in wa if they have rubber inserts? do they have to drill into the pedals or what? or if someone knows where i can just get the stock ones ordered from perth please tell me, i have my next yellow sticker inspection next week

You can try a Subaru wrecker, Subaru Osborne Park, Subaru Parts Australia.

just get the genuine subaru pedals:

cost was around $120 for the 3 from subaru

If you have a sticker, go stock just to be sure. From memory the stock rubbers are about $7 over the counter from subaru.

so it seems you have to have them screwed in and with rubber inserts.
