well isoparaffins are a branched chain alkane so yeah, as thats a solvent.. i'd be extra cautious. the hydrocarbon propellant is also a solvent.. i dont know exactly whats in the clear coat on the scooby, but yeah it would be interesting to know just to model a few reaction scenarios.. either way this stuff couldnt be good for your car in the long term.

I won't use this stuff because of the cunts selling it. Ambushed me at BP, and wouldn't leave me alone. Fuck off, don't talk to me.

Hard to beat a proper wash, chammois, clar bar n polish. I've used the waterless wash and yeah it's quick and simple if you have no time for a wash or you have other constraints, other thant that .. avoid.

Yes i got ambushed at a BP to.

Thats because you're still using it, give it a few washes using something else & they will show through. Look for fine swirl scratches under a bright sun.

This man speaks the truth. You could really notice it under direct sunlight on my MR2 before..

Same here, looks good the first few times, then no matter often you try again the paint never gets that "mirror" look it had the first time you tried it. And the swirls, they are there, so terrible. I'll probably have to get a proper cut and polish to get rid of them, hopefully

Well... Mum came home with a can of the stuff yesterday... her excuse was "You hardly ever wash your car so thought this would help"...

Guess I'll try it and see, the car needs a proper cut and polish at the moment anyway because under direct sunlight all you can see is those swirls.... all over the fucking thing.
Atleast this will cover it up for a little bit.

Also same here with the swirl marks, i just forget to mention this...

what i want to try, and wondering if anyone here has used it is the meguir's range of swirl removing products:

Swirl X, Scratch X 2.0 and Ultimate Compound?

i briefly searched google and the results look pretty good
