Had the same problem, opened the boot ad stuffed an old sock onto one of the big holes under the parcel shelf. Very technical stuff so be careful if you try it.

Take the car back to the dealer, there is a fix for this issue, and should be covered by warranty

Golden!
Hope you remember this when you are looking for the other sock to wear!

Surprisingly this method has worked quite well

Unfortunately my rear parcel shelf is still rattling so I'll most likely be taking it apart over the weekend and see if the fix outlined in this NASIOC thread fixes it for good.

The sock technique worked well for the rattle, but I wanted to fix it properly. I tried the technique on the NASIOC thread and it worked very well. I'll post again if there are any further issues.

Since getting mine looked at by Macey at WestSide Car Audio in Cannington (he isn't there any more) I haven't had any problems at all.

They removed the parcel shelf trim, glued carpet to the underside, placed dynamatt on the rear parcel shelf and place some foam tape at the far end where it meets/touches the glass window.

Also removing the covers for the child restraints helps wonders as well.

That said, I do need to take the shelf out and redo the foam tape that prevents it from riding up against the window as the summer heat has caused the tape and foam to part and move around a bit.

Hey Soksta, I did it without the rear foam tape (because I didn't have any on me) and it hasn't caused any issues over a few test drives. I'll post again if that changes.

Let me know if you need some, got a few rolls of the stuff sitting here doing nothing, more than happy to pass some your way if needed.

I did raise this question with a dealership, was told that I might have done too many km on the car (had just over 15,000km at the time).
Whether or not this was a legitimate excuse from the dealer or them just getting out of fixing a problem with the car, I decided to stop by some one that I could actually rely upon and get a good job out of it.

The fact that I had to pay a small amount of money to get this issue finally resolved didn't bother me much at all.
