Car Audio Query - Line Level Converters
My mate has an XL BF Falcon ute and is wanting to put a 10" sub in it, as the factory ICC doesn't have preouts for RCA's and we can't seem to track down any rear speaker wiring (its the base model), we are thinking of running a line level converter off one of the front speakers.
Question is, can you splice/tap into the wires for one of the speakers to connect the line level converter, as well as run the speaker from those wires still?? And does it affect the volume that speaker will put out?? Thanks in advance for any help you can provide. Josh

In the front left (passenger) kick panel, in the loom of wiring there should be speaker cables for the front left, and both rears, In the front right there should be wiring for the front right speaker. Run them to a hi-level input. Happy times

Certain amps have a line level converter in them. Usually cheaper items such as clarion etc.

Thanks Macey, found them with your colour legend. Took about half an hour of searching to find the right rear wires are run on the left loom too!!! All sorted though, Cheers

New question:
As mentioned, we tracked down the rear wiring to run a Line Level Converter from for the sub thanks to Macey's post above. In regards to the REMOTE wire for the amp, as it's using a factory head unit/icc, what/where do we connect this to? Just to a keyed power source? I read one how-to that reckoned you should run it to a toggle switch and turn it on and off when you turn the car on or off, but to me it makes more sense to run to a keyed power source... Help plz, Josh
