New Rims
Chasing some new rims for the silver 05 wrx. Looking at the Rota Formula Mesh in Charcoal, with maybe some silver lug nuts.

GD series rexes are begging for CR Kais or TE37s....
CR Kais in 18" in dark bronze would look really good on a lowered 05 man..... |
White Kai's aren't that great, charcoal or bronze ftw!
|
I am biased but Work Emotion XD9's
|
Yeah bronze CR Kai's ftw the 18's look mint!
|
Hit up e-bay . Some shop is selling heaps of work rims for under 2k in sydney
|
Nengun has them I believe, $1500 or so plus import taxes etc. Or you could ship 2 lots of 2 to different addresses? Might work.
|
Just found these on eBay in America:

Jdm concept is that store on eBay mate. Heaps of rims. Might cost you a little bit more but not much after the import tax few from USA
|
wish they were wider.....
Yeah I'd prefer some wider ones, any idea what the widest you could fit without guard work and crazy camber? |
Only thing I would swap my Kais for are XD9s.

They might charge slightly more for shipping if you send separately as thete is a set price for weights and as a random example let's say up to 30-40kg is $400 and 20-30kg is $240 or they could charge by size aswell, so something to think about. Those ones from Nengun are nearly $1600 + shipping $400 + 20% import taxes etc ends up being around $2400 delivered. (18" 7.5 5x100 +48) Once I hear back from Japan about the price ill let you know but I do know there is short supply of certain sizes, pcd, offset in certain colours especially the white you want, what ever price I get will be all costs inclusive. |
If you want the more aggressive style with the wider wheel and lower offset, you will most likely be better off going the Rota Torque's or Koya copies.. The CR Kai's are the original and best wheel in that style, but the sizing and offsets are pretty limited in 5x100.

yay or nay ?
Nay! With import monsters commission, jap shipping then shipping here plus gst it'll more than likely end up near the $1k mark. |
Thanks guy back to the drawing board, want to get something a little different from alot of the other rims that have been done over and over, not in a rush so I'll keep looking. I still would like to go a copy of the s204 rims in 18's I think would look hot.
|
Kind of on topic, but looking at a set of new rims for my 02 STi, but looking for something that will fill the guards balla style. Any ideas on what width/offset I should be looking at?
Fairly keen on something similar to these, Advan RG-D: |
SSR Type - C RS's look shit HAWT!!!
I'm tempted to grab a set for the 204 at some stage. The differ between the real BBS and the Rota ones is the bolt holes and a few other small things in dimensions but if they are indeed still in stock then they are a cheap alternative to over $1k a rim for the BBS ones. :icon_thum |
Ok cool I'll check out the rota ones first cause I am set on the style with some nice red color bolts
