Default Sound system upgrade on 97 wrx hatch

I'm planning to upgrade the stock head unit and front speakers with a new pioneer head unit, amp, sub and 6" front speakers.

Has anyone does this before on this (or similar) model car?

Any tips or tricks? (Especially for running wires etc)

Ive done the head unit in GC8's - Wasnt super hard but did take a slight bit of modification of the wiring as expected. Keep your sound wires away from your power and ground to avoid interference is the biggest thing.

Cheers mate,
Do you know if there's a good spot to ground the amp under the drivers seat?

My amps under my seat I used one of the bolts that hold the seat rail on.

You may be able to buy an adapter plug to go from the new unit to the Subi wiring harness, check FleaBay or one of the big audio shops.

This type of thing.
