On that did it fit nice? No drama? What did you put between the 2 metal parts? Fire proof resin?

Na originally I just whacked it in there, it's only bolted in with 6 bolts, I haven't put the rivets in around the outside...

I just had to split a weld where the seat hangs on 2 hook thingimys...
Easy as really. Came with everything needed..

Bumping an extremely old thread here, but hopefully it can be of help...

What have people done about the upper section of the rear bulkhead, where the speaker holes etc are? As far as I understand these need to be covered too but it doesn't look possible to get a drill or rivet gun in towards the back with the glass in. Would a heat/fire resistant tape suffice for these holes or no?

I'm pretty sure the gc8 and liberty rear seat mounts are very similar or the same so I'm going to confirm that with a friend's car and then hopefully hunt down a beatrush panel to make that part easy.

Can you do the drilling/riveting from inside the boot if another pair of hands hold everything in place at the top?

Yeah that's not a bad idea Nick, I'll have to poke my head through and check the underside next time I'm in the boot. The front of the bulkhead has a box section but the rear should be single skin.
