So you pretty much want your guards rolled.
A lot of professionals do it with the hammer although if someone has a guard rolling tool it would be much easier. All it takes is patience and a bit of time. I did my rears myself but got someone to do the front. If you actually want to do it with a grinder and shit I'm more than happy to lend you my grinder.
so iv got my new rims arriving soon and will be wanting to do this mod to avoid running so much negative camber. who professionally can do this mod for us in perth? i spoke to dez from dent craft and he said he cant do it, im thinking maybe taking it down to the guys at tech9tyres....i was there last week and they have a sweet shop and do quite a bit of custom work so i think this type of stuff might be right up their ally

here is the diy link - How To: Properly Modify 05-07 GD STi Rear Fenders | t3h_Clap's Wheel33tist Blog

it might not be THAT hard to do yourself, but its very daunting to me at least, and its something i would prefer a professional did.

SO what rims did you get?

I run a 9" with no guard work... Depending on what you got, it might still be doable.

Rexxar 14-09-2012 09:11 AM

the offset his getting is pretty low +35 or +30 on a 9.5? cant remember now but mine is 9"+22 and shit flush with my guards

Boxerbeast had GTR rims and they were 18x9 +30 which were rubbing bad on his rears lol and swaped back to gmax :(

and also you cant roll the rear due to that extra lip which is only on the STI, the wrx are fine

put it on with the 225 tyres and smash in some camber then see how you go but I dont think you need to hack into the rears imo....given that it clears the front brembos KEK

wish I had 34 GTR guards
yeah im going to be running 18x9 +35 on 225/40 so fitment wise im expecting it to be pretty flush...will run about 2-3 degrees camber in the rear and it should sit fine with no rubbing, might just go at it will the grinder a little bit to get a few extra mm clearance in there...

and these are the rims i got, they said it will clear the brembo's fine :)
