Sounds great, although I'd change to splits in the rear too if I hadn't have cut into my rear shelf, may look at making an mdf overlay for it.

But, on topic, can vouch for the MB Quart splits, Alberts (Bibra lake) seem to know their shit on MB Quart. Let me know what price u can get (with model) and I could see what I can get em for, have a friend who used to be in audio.

As for fitting, had to use spacers, its not a hard fitment, do it yourself, couple of hours.

I couldnt agree anymore..... self install I am a slack arse for sure!!!

Its going to be a staged install either front and subs or front an rear shelf.... gotta avoid puttin a huge dent in the wallet..... both with an amp ofcourse. I know Grant at Alberts has some deals on.... i jus gotta find the time shop around at Technik...

Gidday,

I have a set of MB Quart QSD 216 for sale if you are interested.

They are 6.5 inch mid, 1 inch tweeters with cross-overs, these retail for about $1700.00.

These are about the best splits money can buy.

PM me on gavinj1@tpg.com.au

Cheers

Gavin

I only want $650.00 for them, they are used but tweeters were bought brand new 3 months ago.

Cheers

yeah go the splits and a sub. If you have a decent sub, you dont need 6x9 rears. If your splits are good then you will be all sweet, across the sound range.

I have the DLS ultimate 2 way Iridiums, with the Ultimate 10" Sub. Both are powered by the Ultimate A7. I got them cheapish from HK, and probably a bit super overkill. Point i am trying to make though, is that Uber tweeters like these are all you need to reproduce awesome sound, with the sub handling all the bass. The sound is magnificent, and makes you listen to crud like Christina Aguilera to appreciate the sound quality. (did i say that out loud)

We have just got the entire Soundstream range in at the shop... they have a huge range with splits from around the $250 mark to over $1k plus an even bigger range of subs and amps!!... If your looking around at different options then i would definitely recommend at least checking out the Soundstream stuff... Its really good quality and the value for money is excellent for a high-end brand!!
