scoop options for bugeye
 

Hey guys,

sorry if this thread comes up every other day but I'm just after some solid info

I've been searching low and high for what scoop options I have available for my bugeye wrx. I want to replace the black C-west scoop that came on my car [img]https://fbcdn-sphotos-d-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash3/1012809_10151699557934654_79759977_n.jpg[/img].

I don't really want to go anything too huge but what to know what my options are, obviously apart from standard bug and STI bug scoops.

Do the peanut eye scoops fit or could some one recommend a decent similar after market option? Should I just shutup and get a Stock/Sti Bug scoop?

Another worry I have is I've come across a few stock/STI bug scoops that don't come with the under bonnet section of the scoop and I've read without it they're almost useless?

Look there is a vendor on here who sells body bits rims and such and such if you search through the vendor list you will find. Has a website with pretty pics of options too.

I assume you're talking about Ultrex?

there seems to be only a few scoops available on that site and they're all pretty huge.

Just go to japan parts and get a stock 02 sti one. I paid $170 then painted it.

The one you have is the worst scoop I've ever seen!

It sorta fits won't bolt up properly unless it's a copy designed for the particular model. I would just get a 02sti scoop it's a straight fit.

ooh, sounds good. Did that come with the under scoop splitter/thing too?



Thanks guys, I don't want it to fit up poorly. Current one is horrible enough.

If you want the splitter thingo best bet is to try wreckers like JWS in wangara or Japline in Malaga they might have both scoop and splitter for a price. You might have to get it panted to suit your car if it's a different colour.

Do an sti top mount and hobbs pressure waterspray kit while you are there.

ah yeah I always forget about JWS.



It's already got STI tmic and water spray.
