Carbon fibre bonnet

Hi I got a 06 wrx and I'm after a carbon fibre bonnet are there any places in perth that stock these or were I could get one ?

Of course you realise that they are illegal...
So are you after a fake one (fibreglass covered with carbon) or a proper one (obviously much more expensive)? If the latter, contact Maximum Motorsport 9458 1444

I painted mine matt black and didn't have any problems with the fuzz when going through RBT's. I am not a huge fan of carbon fibre for aesthetics tho, and bought it for the light weight, bigger scoop and extra venting in the bonnet. Mine was the cheaper fibre glass with carbon top but was still a lot lighter than the stock bonnet.

Seibon is US brand, shipping cost might be a bit steep. Japanparts.com can do a bit cheaper, and they r proper brand like ing, chargespeed etc, or alliexpress but u might wanna paint it, even I dont trust their clear coat, but its only about $1000.

And of course they r illegal. Thats why personally I choose to not install one...... but looks cool.

I weighed my alloy bonnet and CF one. Was maybe 500g difference.

OP,
If you want lightness, get alloy.
Want the CF look then wrap an alloy bonnet.
Remains legal.

Difference was a good couple of kilos for mine (2001 bug)

Couple of kilos! Woahhh!! Would have made your car so much faster!! haha :)

No the only reason I want it is I got damage on my bonnet and it's got light hail which the rest of the car doesn't have and only reason is considering carbon fibre Is I reckon it doesn't look bad with a silver car and if I got one I wouldn't have to paint and buying a new bonnet from subaru is $800 and I got quoted $1550 cash from Bert Bennetts and if I got a carbon fibre it would save me money on painting and cost a bit more then one from subaru
