04 STI Work XD9 18x9 +38 Help

Has anybody had any experience with these wheels on this model?

If so what tires did you fit?

Was there much guard work involved?

Am i wasting my time with 18x9 +38 on this model!

Cheers

Those are the exact same wheels I'm using... I can't imagine you would have too many issues with that width, just maybe run 245 35 18 tyres? I did need to roll the guards at the rare as I'm using 245 40 18 AD08's so had a bit of scrub. 35's should be ok.

Anybody else confirm this?

GD normally cannot fit the same low offset rims as ours, Mitch. OP will have 11mm more inner clearance, which is good, but 23mm less outer clearance compared to oem wheels. Get a ruler to check whether ur rim's outer face is at least 23mm away from ur guard's edge.

If not ur might need to run stretched tyres ie 235 or 225. Or use camber kit and raise ride height.

Good luck
