Albeit poorly written, it was just intended to quickly get some opinions, make a choice and move on.

Why do you need other people to make a choice for you? They are wheel nuts. It's not like someone will see you drive past and think 'shit. That car would look so much better if it had gun metal wheel nuts not shadow chrome'

Because they are the most trivial of things. Wheel nuts. A good way to blow $180 on a pointless addition. But buy whatever colour you think you need.

I have blue nuts on my gunmetal grey work wheels. The break the dark rim up and just seems to suit them. I don't consider them a pointless addition as visually I prefer how it looks to plain, dark nuts.

May not be to everyone's liking, but I can't say I really give two fucks what the Internet experts say.

I think you are getting some of my point. Why ask people what colour to get when you are perfectly capable on making that tedious decision on your own.

Lol the WRX and STi owners group on Facebook would cease to exist if it wasn't filled with people asking the internet the most mundane questions

If you get aluminium, don't get cheap shit.

Make sure at least one nut on each wheel has a security feature, such as irregular pattern, and comes with at least 2 key sockets for it.

Yet you seem awfully passionate about the topic to post several times in this thread...

Back on topic, i would suggest if there is another accent colour on your car (such as gold brembos) you should match the nuts. Might look odd if you have seemingly random colours dotted here and there

On your point of a good way to blow $180, its not really that pointless. The ones currently on are pretty rusted and rounded. 1 of the locking nuts was so threaded I needed to smash a socket over it just to get it off, not to mention the old threads. So I need a new set anyway. Considering wheels are the only point of contact to the road, I'd rather mine stay on.

Secondly, I had 8 hours to kill before I could order so I figured hey wonder if there's some ridiculous perth-wrx unspoken & unwritten law about wheel nuts (amongst the other cult-like opinions).

But apparently the first rule about wheel nut colour, is don't talk about wheel nut colour.

I bought Buddy club chrome extended open ended wheel nuts for mine, I have ARP extended studs to go in so I needed them. They were a bit expensive (US$150) but they were the only chrome steel ones I could find and black wheel nuts wouldn't go with silver wheels very well.

However if I had black wheels it would be a easy choice, gktek have black steel ones for $24 plus postage. For 20 steel wheel nuts thats a very good price.
Product List

I'm not sure if its because I'm using a tablet but I'm having a hard time navigating their website at the moment but I have bought from them many times in the past and had no problems.
