Also to add to the above, I spent weeks searching for wheel nunts and reading forums about them. Nearly every thread advised against aluminium wheel nuts mostly due to tyre shops stripping the threads when they put the nuts back on with a rattle gun or people over torquing them without the use of a torque wrench. And the steel and aluminium expand and contract at different rates which can cause the aluminium wheel nut threads to have less bite at certain temps.

A few people swore by aluminium wheel nuts but it was a small minority compared to those who used and recommended steel wheel nuts.

Wow $150us for Chrome Steel wheel nuts. Pretty exxy for what are standard fitment on subaru's.
