Headlight restoration

1 Attachment(s)
Hey guys, started my headlight restoration, but whilst sanding and smoothing inside and out, the plastic has completely shit itself on the inside, and the outside I'm not sure of because of how bad it has turned out, if anyone could help out would be greatly appreciated!

Did you use plenty of water and the different grade sand papers?

They look pretty bad before you give them the coat but I dont recall mine looking that mate.

Paint them with the final coat and see how they come up/back.

Why were you doing the inside of the lens?

^^ This. You're only meant to do the outside..

Inside was the one that was rooted, so I did the same on both sides, started with 380, went to 400, then 1500, then 2000 and they look like that, I'll spray a coat of clear on them and see how they turn out

Spraying clear over them isn't going to do anything. You need rescuing. Call Oli at Westcar detailing and he'll sort it out. He's also a member on here.

Actually, there is method to his madness. Spraying clear coat could/should fix it from this point.

Sprayed clear on them yesterday and the clear started to crack as it dried almost instantly, looks like more sanding is in order to clean them up, but the clear makes it look heaps better. But more sanding and polishing until it looks half decent, also on an unrelated note, took my Sti wing off yesterday and going to paint that while I'm at it!
