What are Y2K number plates worth these days?
 

Hi guys, viewing a gc8 today and seen that it had Y2K plates and the limited wooden trim just wandering what this kind of stuff is worth.

I wouldn't think it's collectors material just yet.

I have a GC8 with leather interior and wood grain steering wheel. They say only 250 were made (or about that number), but I wouldn't get any more dollars for it than a standard WRX in the same condition, mileage, etc.

For the Y2K plates, well the turn from 99 to 2000 was a bit of a fizzer. The Y2K bug never happened, nothing changed, so personally I wouldn't put any value on the plates if I was a buyer or a seller...

I don't think the plates would hold any value. I had Y2K-000 plates which were purchased from Total Subaru back in 2000, sold them with my GC8 back in 2005.

Not a fan of any vanity plates other then the cheap WRC variant. Saying that a young lad down the road has Y2K plates
