Wink Roof Vent Idea!!

ok heres the situation i was keen on gettin a sunroof in my car but apparently due to there being a major support beam for the roof where the cut out needs to be, i can only install the most expensive top of the range hollandia 700 (which is nice, but more than what i am after).

Now i also like the idea of the roof vent like this one:

My question is would it be possible to make a roof vent sort of like this:

Its approximately 2-2.5 times the size of the original and has 2 locking latches.

Any opinions....input if this is even possible would be excellent....

Thanks

Some pretty serious fabrication involved there man... you'd need to be pretty competant with bodywork and interior to pull it off. The other thing youd want to make sure is that the latches are secure enough to prevent it being a way ppl could break in, and that it was a good enough seal to stop water getting in, because it wont have anywhere to drain.
I'd just save and invest in the sunroof if you're keen, or go the WRC roof scoof FTW!

Cleverly used rod is enough to hit the central locking on a door. U don't have to be climbing through lol

From my pm i sent u impreza_GT it is better to stick with the factory option. They contain all the parts to make sure that it fits perfectly, prevents water entry and nobody can open the vent from the outside..

It maybe smaller, and look small in the pics but is actually a decent size in real person.
