I have a quick question... I have found some rims I like, but they are 35-38 offset. Is this to much of a difference? How much of a difference would not matter?

nauli 16-11-2006 03:19 PM
I have a quick question... I have found some rims I like, but they are 35-38 offset. Is this to much of a difference? How much of a difference would not matter?
Yes, too much difference...go as close to standard as possible 50-55 and not below 48...

JMAX 16-11-2006 03:30 PM

Work wheels have a Subaru fitment in +43 for 8" wide wheels. Sits out quite far but manages to clear the guards.

WRXTASY 16-11-2006 05:49 PM

Prodrive P1 WRC 18x7.5 with +46mm offset, 225 width tyres. If the car is lowered enough you will get rubbing of the rear guards with the suspension under load. Rear guards had to be rolled.

This is on a GC8 with DMS 40mm Coilovers if that helps.

Anyone know of 16x7.5 or 8" rims to suit gc8's?
Anyone know of 16x7.5 or 8" rims to suit gc8's?
Yes you can get them...I'm pretty sure that Jamie Lister got a set of 16 x 8 to put on his MY00 STi for his R Specs...

after this mornings incident (bitch in a Festiva) I need the same, but rather than my insurance paying it will be me...not fair!

Might just leave it, soooooooo not happy about paying for something that isn't my fault.

Anyone other than Alliance?

ImPreSiV 20-11-2006 07:32 PM

Nope, Alliance is the place to go... bit pricey IMO.. i got quoted $250 to repair my gutter rash on my old car, when the rims new cost me $250 ea. Obviously i didnt fix them!

Chaddy 20-11-2006 07:32 PM

Yeah i made the splurge for new rims on Friday

NVRENUF 09-12-2006 06:29 AM

quick question has anyone fit a 19x8.5 on bug eye onward before ?

JMAX 09-12-2006 10:15 AM

I'm running 18x8.5" so no reason why a 19x8.5" wont fit if the correct width/profile tyre is used to maintain correct rolling diameter along with the correct wheel offset.

Elrico 22-12-2006 02:24 PM

cheers.

NVRENUF 25-12-2006 07:53 PM

For the money u pay cant complain. tyres handle very well. and 4 days to your door isnt bad either.

BOMB3R 26-12-2006 12:45 PM

Depends on what tyres you want mate, give them a call..........I bought my tyres from them 2-3 days to your door at a good price.

Hey all,

Looking ahead for when the time comes to put new tyres on. Figure i may as well do the Rims at the same time. I'm tryin to work out whether i should put 18" Shiny Chromies like these, http://www.tempetyres.com.au/products_closeup.asp?part=&part_no=272, or to go with something a little less flashy like this style http://www.tempetyres.com.au/products_closeup.asp?part=&part_no=829

There going on an MY03 dark blue wrx. Whats your thoughts and ideas.
