To give you an idea of tyre profiles, here are a set of 235/35/19...they are practical...sidewall height is a function of % profile, so you need to be careful not to get the sidewall too small as previously stated...

Evo 9 enkeis fitted to an 06 sti. Requires 12x1.25 toyota shank style wheel nuts (purchased from autoone) and a set of 56.1-67.1 concentric spacer (ebay). Size is 17x8 +38 so they sit similar to my rotas which are 18x8.5 +44 or something close to that.
These will become my track rims once my r888s run out on my 18's due to the fact that 17" slicks are cheaper.

What's everyone opinion on my new setup that i am planning to get for my wide body my13 wrx.
Rota Titan 18 x 9.5 +38, rear fenders will have to be rolled, either 255/35/18s or 265/35/18s Bridgestone Potenza RE003 or Yokahoma S.Drives. (These tyres sise is a little bit costly but i dont want to be stretching 245/45s. Unless someone has done it before and deem that it's safe to do so. Other option is to run Titans in 18 x 8.5 +42 with 245/45 tyres and no rolling needed. This setup will cost less and more safer of course. Thanks in advance for any inputs. Check if you can find mounting specs for the tyres.
Here for example: Maxxis MA-511 - Ultra High Performance You can see a 235 and 245 are OK on a 18x9.5 wheel, but different manufactures will have different specifications. Not a fan of Rota brand (made in the Philippines), but the Titans will look good if they are kept clean. I'd say if money isn't a issue go for the first option as you might need extra for other adjustments later, I found out the hard way, had to buy spacers, extended ARP studs, extended lug nuts, coil overs, pumped arches etc to fit 9" +45 wheels (of course this was a different car to yours, a bugeye WRX) If you want to play it safe or don't have the extra to play with maybe go the 2nd option. |

Found some info, Looking at the S.Drives
235/40R18 95 W = Rim Width 8.0 - 9.5 245/35R18 92 Y = Rim Width 8.0 - 9.5 Source: S.drive | Yokohama Tire Corp*|*Yokohama Tire Corporation (click on show all sizes and specs) I'll Look up the RE003 specs and post what I find. *edit* Cant find any specs for the RE003, only the available sizes they come in and not what rim width they suit.
