Gotta say, i had those Vorks... and they were not a bad rim, and not as heavy as some would lead you to believe, however i did later on have a genuine set of Rays CE28N's which were lighter... but they also cost about 3x as much too!

As EVL WRX said... i'd be keener to buy a set of non-genuine copies in perfect condition, than genuine that had been in an accident and damaged.

Cheers,

SiriX

Thanks,
After some sniffin around, I'm seriously considering putting an order in with PerfectRun.com.au for a set of Work Emotion CR KAIs, according to their website: $340 per rim delivered! 18x7.5 +48 - anyone know from experience if this is the right offset for a my99?

That's correct for your car. Run a 225/35/18 tyres. May need to lip the rears to get them to fit nice.

just a tip when ordering from overseas... if the invoice that accompanies the wheels lists the total as less than $1k, you won't have to pay import tax...

but make sure you put a couple hundred aside for stupid charges like 'quarrentine cleaning' even though they are brand new rims..

I've bought heaps off perfect run, def recommend them.

Just need to decide on colour now, going on a silver GC8 hatch, was thinking the matt carbon (gunmetal) over the matt titan (bronze)? Suggestions/thoughts?

having had bronze emotions on my gunmetal gc8, i'd recommend bronze over the carbon.. grey on silver be too bland IMO...

Yeah so these are my STi rims which I have got, nothing special - But the good news is they are in A1 condition as per the pics.

Are there people here anal enough to clean the inside of the rims? Is there any point in doing that - Thought i'd ask the question while they are all off and before i put them on.

Your right Rich, they do look in good nick..but whats the difference apart from colour to the ones you have now?

I'm one of the anal ones who cleaned the inside of my Prodive rims and my standard rims prior to putting them back on. So much easier to do while they are off and makes quite a bit of difference to how good they look i reckon.
