how do you measure your wheels (offset etcetc)? do you have to take the wheel off? i don't understand those calculators...(noob)

just use the calculator to compare the wheels you have to what you want

you will probably need to remove it & look for any numbers/letters cast or stamped into it.
they could be on either face of the wheel, most probably on the back, so you will need to remove 1 & have a good look

crikey been tredging through this post for what seems like an age now.

I'm a noob on here but wanted to ask your advice.

I am looking for some gold rims, i love the xxr 527's rims but there just not practicle when it comes to the fitment on a GC8 i have seen a friends STi9 on speedline turini's which look awesome, as do ultra leggras, i like rota torques, but not seen the gold that rota do on these.
i wondered given the style of rims i like if any of you have these on your GC8's, where i could go to look at rims (im based in east perth ) and what size i could get away with having lowered the car 50mm i know i need to be looking for 5 x 100 but not sure what offset? is it +55?
any pics guys would be great
