bird - the GForce aren't available in Yamaha Black, only the DPT's which I'm now leaning towards.

I'm only going 18x8.5" on 225's guys. I'm not going to be lowering the car or rolling my guards. I wanted to go 235 wide but can't source Yoko S-Drives in that width unfortunately (only 225 or 255). This combination will give me 21mm more poke which should end up being reasonably flush with the guards.

Jimmy S: 9.5" +35 it will give me 43mm more poke. I'll have nearly 2cm of wheel and rubber hanging outside the guard! Mexican style.

-3° camber will sort that out. Finish the look by putting 195's on it for a good stretch.

Well done on the research...i've just gone through a similar thing with new rims and tyres...

I think being sensible with rim and tyre size choice is the way to go. Never quite understood forcing fitment of crazy styles with too much camber, guard work, and stretched tyres.

For tyres, have you tried demon tweeks?

Yep, that's where I'll be getting my S-Drives from. I emailed them on Saturday night and received a reply 20 minutes later! ~$820 for a set of S-Drives is nothing short of incredible. My current set (205/50/17) cost me $1200!

I'm with you Jorge, not mexican at all.

I'm trying to convince PoktRokt about the same thing that she needs to go wider and more aggressive offset for her proposed rim change. But she wants to play it safe 8.5 with a +44

Yep!

Jimmy, yeh those pics don't look overly mexican but going by calculators the 40mm extra width is just too risky "on paper". Plus unneccessary extra kg's of wheel and tire weight. There's no point me going aggressive hellaposer if I'm not going to drop it on it's ring.

Hahah... Stop reading about it and just do it... All the reading I did told me that I was going to have trouble fitting my wheels under the guards, yet when I finally got them and put them on, they fit piece of piss...

Not in any way suggesting you will have the same experience, but I know I'd regret getting the skinny version...

Why not ask Dak Dak Dave really nicely if you can try a test fit with his DPT's?

Because I'm stubborn and conservative?

ps. thanks for the photos - despite being the wrong size and offset you've sold me on the DPT's
