225/18/40

I wanted 235 but can't get 235 in Yokohama S-Drives locally unfortunately. Go 235 if you can.

Would like 8.5" in the 527's +20 for mine...would sit better...
I ordered from XXR Racing Wheels at NLMotoring.com

but as far as i am aware, the xxr527 only come in .25 and .75.. whereas I ordered the xxr521 that only come in .0 or .5

Just camber it in, otherwise they have 8.75+35, sure you would be able to see if they will clear the brakes.. Otherwise look for a different style of rim.

Default Rims

Hi all
Just wondering what 18x8 rims will fit my bugeye wagon?
Bought a set from ultrex & sadly the do not fit. They have a +42 offset
But unfortunately stick outside the guards by about an inch- spewing:-(
Any advice will be greatly appreciated
Cheers

Dan [GTI] knows their stuff
Default

17 X 7 +55 - Stock Rims
18 X 8 +42 - ULTREX Rims

26mm extra poke/further out then stock.
SHOULD look like this:

1010TIRES.COM - Wheel Offset Calculator

I might be out on my WRX stock rims. Been a while since I needed those specs

I'm running Ultrex Viper Hyperblack 18 x 8.5 +44 offset with 225/40/18 tyres.... On a 05 WRX Wagon
fronts sticking out 10mm
rears look flush with guard or at worst 5mm sticking out

Did have issues when running 235/40/18 tyres rubbing on guards front and rear on bumpy roads but since the 225's have been on the rims theres been no rubbing issues

As stated, doesn't sound right. Shouldn't be anywhere near 25mm of poke. First thing I would do is get your alignment checked. I had a tire poking out by 10mm when I first purchased my rims last year. Turned out I had a shit alignment done.

Smile Rims

Hey all
Everything is all good. Alignment was out now they sit flush on the rear
And stick out about a 1-2 mm out on the front. Running 225 tyres not much
Clearance in the inner guards but all good.

Good to hear! Who did the initial alignment, and who did you get to do the current one?
