Wondering whats the right combo that doesn't affect your rolling diameter and speedo on an 06/07 sti which comes atandard with 17" 225/45 tyres

Would 18x8.5rims with 245/40 tyres do it or 235/40?

or do you need to stick to the 45 sidewall like 235/45 or 245/45?

Funny you actually do about 3-5 km/hr less when the speedo is reading 100 when you switch to 18" 235 40s or 245 40s.... with 45s its even worse.

well personally my 17' rims are 225-45-17 when i went 18' they 225-40-18. The 18's at 100km/h sits on 99.5km/h according to my gps

Your speedo under-reads, so who cares. Will just make it read more accurately.
