Yeah Joe's right rubber really should be your priority... after all it's probably the most important performance part of your car.

My misses has the car 99% of the time for pottering to the shops, dropping the kids at school ect. I can live with cheapy rubber for 6 months and replace it with better once fucked. I'm just looking for an opportunity to get new rims while she's in a "dont mind too much if it doesnt cost a shitload more than replacing tyres as we dont really need them" kind of mood! lol

Yeah, that was my tactic too..."look, new tyres will be $1200...look at these wheel & tyre packages for $1500".
Its only a minor detail that the final cost was significantly over $2000.
Thats what the 'other' bank & credit card accounts are for.

GRANT!!!

Out of nowhere.....welcome back....

Go a set of GD 01-04 (wrx or sti) rims, paint to desired colour. You should be able to score a set with decent tread for no more than 1k.....anymore than that and they're dreaming (1.5 for sti at best). Better quality wheel and will look the goods on the GC shape.
