Yes, you are right. In this case 2deg more timing produced a very smooth curve to 284.5hp but we took this off at WOT because the the engine was pinging.

Edit: you can see where we chopped off the timing from 4500rpm to 5500rpm, where the top of the torque was flattened out instead of going up and smoothing down.

in fact it should have the least amount of fluctuations, since WOT is the easiest to tune.

Vi-pec tune on Evo 6.5 TME. Vehicle had HKS Hi-Power Exhaust, HKS Racing suction kit, Tomei headers and Tomei dump with extention kit.
Edit: Although the TME has strong internals, we did not push too much timing after 6000rpm to get higher Torque on a 12 year old engine.

Below is the power/torque chart. (Don't mind the returning graph as fuel cut was set right below 7000rpm.)

Vi-pec installed on a P.WRX member's Evo 8.

Work done included the HKS Racing Suction Kit, Greddy PE-TiR Exhaust, Tomei Extension Outlet kit and Tomei Headers. Rest of Engine and turbo was stock. Vehicle left with 314hp and 398NM of Torque. Quality of Tomei Headers are next to none as these items have proper R+D.

Vipec tune on a BC Liberty with EJ207 bottom end. Vehicle had a previous tune done elsewhere and we did a retune yesterday. Made 60hp and 60Nm more with the new tune.

Unfortunately, the injectors maxed out. Will be looking at breaking the 300hp mark with higher torque once injectors are upgraded, with boost and timing adjusted accordingly.

New Vipec MY06/07 2.5Turbo Canbus Board is now released based on V88 which includes knock control.
P.WRX price remains @$2500 supplied + tuned.

For more info, please go to:
http://www.vi-pec.com/ecus/v88

Below is today's tune on a MY06 WRX with TBE, Cobb's Cold Air Box and Process West Top Mount. Rest of WRX was factory.

Boost was weened off from 1bar@4000rpm to 0.7bar towards the end of the WOT run. Looking forward to upgrading the turbine, turbo actuator and boost solenoid for more boost + boost control.

Today's mild tune achieved 413.7Nm of Torque and 249hp.

What's going on with the torque curve there?

Look at the scale of the graph and try to picture it. Torque scale at the bottom is 270NM. If we launched this WRX at 1500-2000rpm on the Dynapack, it will look more forum friendly.

Will post up some info on comparison graphs before I go on holidays.

Cheers.
