Cheers for that mate.
Below are some pics of the sensor fitted to the GD STi. Code came up as P0031 which indicated a faulty front AFR Sensor -- 22641AA042. Pics of part to be installed: Faulty AFR sensor: Genuine 22641AA042 AFR sensor installed: Last edited by mao; 04-05-2012 at 02:37 AM. Reason: more pics |

Evolution R now stocks heaps of Genuine Factory Sensors for Subaru and Nissan. We will not sell you a sensor if it doesn't solve your problem or error code.
Recently added to stock -- Skyline R33 and R34 coilpacks: |

Thank you P.WRX for your support of our Subaru O2, AFR, Knock Sensors and coilpacks.
A lot of us overlook the importance of the knock sensor, especially when this is used with an aftermarket ecu like an Apexi Power FC where accurate knock readings are required for a good tune. Regarding their principle of functionality, knock sensors are basically vibration sensors and are suitable for detecting structure-borne acoustic oscillations. These occur as “knock” for instance in a vehicle's engine when uncontrolled ignition takes place, and are converted into electrical signals by the sensor and inputted to the ECU. Below is a recent Knock Sensor job on a GC8. Vehicle came in with an Knock Sensor CEL. Factory Knock sensor is located under the throttle body and intake manifold of the EJ205 After the removal of the knock sensor, you can see the damage on the factory Knock Sensor: Comparison between the old sensor and the replacement Subaru 22680AA070 Knock Sensor: Subaru 22680AA070 Knock sensor comes with the proper plug so no cutting of wires is needed: New Knock Sensor replaced: Knock Sensor Cel is now gone: |
